TECHNICAL SCHOOL
One of my friends just finished going to technical school in Indianapolis and now has come back to Chicago. She’s actually going to graduate school here now and is looking for a job in the meantime. Her eventual goal is become one of the most renowned eye surgeons in the country or a plastic surgeon. She is completely aware that will require even more years at school, which is why she’s hesitant right now. After all, medical school is completely different from technical school. She actually studied robotics and made this robotic spider that crawls around on 6 legs. I kept asking her to make a robot that could feel pain like a human being, but she said that was programming and she specialized in the actual construction of robotic automatons. I told her it wasn’t anything she couldn’t pick up and that it would help if she wanted to get into medicine since we could experiment on the robot and it would scream like a human being. She then told me that she doesn’t have the parts or the money to get the parts so that we could do that. I think she’s just making excuses, but it’s not like I could just build a robot myself.
