LEARNING THE RISK

I am still discovering new risk factors about having Lasik surgery done.  I have been wrestling with whether or not I want to have this surgery performed on my eyes and if it will benefit me.  I am farsighted.  I have the worse time working on my computer if I misplace my eyeglasses.  When I first started wearing contact lenses, my eyes would start to feel strained after a couple hours.  I have to have my eye doctor adjust my prescription for this problem.  I am considering having Lasik eye surgery to correct my farsightedness.  I would love to not have to wear glasses or contact lenses anymore.  But from the research into the ins and outs of having this eye surgery, I have found out that even with the surgery, I may end up having to wear glasses anyhow.  And I also found out that if you are farsighted, even if your vision is improved after the surgery, as you get older whatever improvement you had with the surgery is likely to diminish.  So it is possible that I could end up right back permanently wearing glasses.  So my thought now is will it be worth the bother to have the surgery.
